When the EmSeeQ is activated, it calls 911. There are two factors that determine whether and to what accuracy the wearer's location is transmitted to the 911 emergency operator.

The first factor is wireless network or "cell" coverage.  That is what enables the EmSeeQ to receive the activation signal and connect with 911.  EmFinders maintains agreements that provide for broad national cell coverage.

The second factor is the location capability of the wireless network in the vicinity of the wearer.  The EmSeeQ is engineered to use cell tower triangulation (called UTDOA) to meet strict FCC 911 location accuracy requirements both indoors and outdoors.  The coverage map reflects UTDOA availability.

In the event that the wearer is in a location with cell coverage, but outside of UTDOA coverage, the EmSeeQ still will provide a location to the emergency response center, but the accuracy of the location will be diminished.
